What is Revaxis (Td/IPV)?

Revaxis is the adult booster for tetanus, diphtheria and polio in a single injection, used for travel boosting when the last dose is a decade old and destinations warrant it.

The condition it treats

Tetanus lives in soil everywhere; diphtheria and polio persist in parts of the world with certificate requirements emerging for some polio itineraries. A ten-year booster before higher-risk travel keeps all three covered.

How the service runs on Scripter

Patients book online, complete the pre-consultation questionnaire, and the guided pathway walks the practitioner through the tetanus, diphtheria and polio boosting consultation with the screening and counselling steps built in. The supply decision, the record and any GP notification are produced in the same flow, documented against the exact protocol version in force.

Training and eligibility requirements.

Who can deliver this service, and who it can be delivered to. The governing PGD document defines the definitive inclusion, exclusion and supply criteria; the Scripter consultation pathway enforces them, and every consultation is documented against the protocol version it ran under.

Revaxis (Td/IPV) PGD questions

When does an adult need this booster?+

Typically when travelling to higher-risk areas more than ten years after the last tetanus-containing dose; the consultation works it out from the history rather than guessing.

What if the vaccination history is unknown?+

The pathway follows national catch-up guidance for uncertain histories and documents the reasoning, which is exactly what a future clinician needs to see.

Some countries want proof of polio vaccination?+

Yes, certain long-stay itineraries in polio-affected countries carry certificate expectations; the risk assessment flags them and the record supports the paperwork.
