What is COVID-19 vaccine?

The private COVID-19 vaccination service offers the current seasonal mRNA vaccine to people outside NHS eligibility who want protection ahead of winter, travel or time with vulnerable relatives. The vaccine is updated each season to match circulating variants.

The condition it treats

COVID-19 remains a cause of serious respiratory illness and hospital admission, with risk rising with age and chronic conditions. Vaccination reduces severe disease and long-term symptoms, and protection wanes over time, which is why an annual dose is offered.

How the service runs on Scripter

Patients book online, complete the pre-consultation questionnaire, and the guided pathway walks the practitioner through the COVID-19 protection consultation with the screening and counselling steps built in. The supply decision, the record and any GP notification are produced in the same flow, documented against the exact protocol version in force.

Training and eligibility requirements.

Who can deliver this service, and who it can be delivered to. The governing PGD document defines the definitive inclusion, exclusion and supply criteria; the Scripter consultation pathway enforces them, and every consultation is documented against the protocol version it ran under.
